Professional background

Chris is an English graduate with a strong interest in literature, language and textual analysis.

Before joining Learning Loft UK, Chris tutored at Colchester College, where he gained hands-on experience supporting neurodiverse learners and students who found English challenging. This experience helped develop his ability to break down complex ideas, explain concepts clearly and create a supportive learning environment for students with different learning needs.

Chris is now based in Market Rasen and brings his English specialism to the local Learning Loft UK community. His work focuses on helping learners understand the deeper meanings behind words, explore how and why writers construct their work, and build the skills needed for English, verbal reasoning and exam success.

Teaching approach

Chris’s teaching is kind, caring and supportive. He recognises that every learner’s academic journey is different, and he works to help students build confidence, strengthen skills and reach their potential.

His approach is well suited to learners working at different levels, from those aiming to bridge key GCSE grade boundaries to high-achieving students looking to refine their analysis and extend their written responses. Chris focuses on clear explanation, patient guidance and helping learners feel more confident when approaching challenging texts, questions and written tasks.
