Kathryn as a teacher is a dedicated and passionate educator with experience teaching children aged 5-11 across the primary curriculum. She holds a PGCE and Education Studies from Bishop Grosseteste University Lincoln and has a specialism in music. With a belief that learning should not be a “one-size-fits-all model,” she is committed to helping students with their confidence, enjoyment of learning, and their overall relationship with education. She has experience working with classes with a high percentage of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), which has honed her ability to adapt her teaching style to meet individual needs.

Versatile Teaching Experience
Her experience extends to online teaching, having effectively used platforms like Zoom during the Covid-19 pandemic to engage students with breakout rooms and a variety of interactive methods. In addition to her classroom experience, she has also privately tutored children in piano lessons and music theory. This diverse background highlights her versatility and dedication to a student’s holistic development.

Core Tutoring Subjects
This teacher offers tutoring services across a wide range of subjects, focusing on both the primary and secondary curriculum:

Primary (KS2): Art, Computing, Design and Technology, Electronics, Literature and Language, Literacy, Maths, General Science, Geography, History, and RE.

Secondary (KS3): Maths, English Literature and Language, and a specialism in Music.

Specialized: 11+ Verbal Reasoning (VR) and Non-Verbal Reasoning (NVR).

Her personal teaching philosophy is that when children trust their teachers, they can truly “fly,” and she is committed to building that trust to help them reach their full potential.
